Conference recorded in the auditorium of the palace of Versailles, September 19, 2020, on the occasion of European Heritage Days.
Through specific framing, scriptwriting or visual choices, the authors of historical comics highlight a character, event or period and confront their point of view with historical reality, sometimes choosing to deviate from it. What has been the evolution of historical representations in images and in comics? How do the authors document themselves to represent Versailles? How do comic book authors appropriate the past to mirror our times?
With the participation of :
- Yves Carlier, curator of the exhibition "The Palace of Versailles in comic books" and general curator of heritage
- Younn Locard, author of "Revolution"
- Florent Grouazel, author of "Revolution"
- Olivier Easter, designer of "Lois"
