Maria Anwander is a conceptual artist. In her "been present" project, which she developed at the Casino Luxembourg - Forum d'art contemporain from May 9 to June 28, 2012, her interests revolved entirely around the concept of time; her own time in Luxembourg, as well as history, souvenir and memory. She ended up, using two very different "materials": on the one hand, neon, invented over a hundred years ago and used in art for at least sixty years and, on the other hand, natural stone, used since the Paleolithic period, which became the work "The Present" (which donated to Luxembourg city), currently on display in the Park Dräi Eechelen. While the first materlial is very sensitive, the second is characterized by its extreme durability.
