Vera Primavera is an Ecuadorian artist specializing in both street art and tattoo art, with a focus on mysticism, magic, intimacy, and women. Through her work as a street artist, she seeks to explore the representation of women in the city and assert their visual presence in a space that has been dominated by capitalist advertising and distorted, patriarchal and consumerist visions of femininity for decades.
Vera's depictions of women are characterized by a complex, imposing, and subtle femininity that captures the magic she sees in the women around her, as well as within herself. Drawing on deep, spiritual, and natural aspects of femininity, her work is often autobiographical in nature, with each wall telling a story of personal discoveries, fears, joys, and sensations.
