Prior to the Proclamation of the Independence, on August 17th, 1945, the lnspection Board for the Preparation of the Indonesian Independence had deliberated several prospective concepts of state philosophy. Among the concepts formulated by Mr. Muhammad Yamin on May 29th, 1945 and envisaged by Ir. Soekarno on June 1, 1945 titled PANCASILA, were considered to be the most significant. Besides, on June 22, 1945, the Committee of Nine, also formulated a concept of state phylosopy, known as the Jakarta Charter. On July 10, 1945, the Preparatory Committee for the Independence of Indonesia decided to put together all concepts proposed, including the Jakarta Charter, on to Preamble of Constitution 1945. After being amended several times, the concepts was legally recognized as the Constitution of Republic of Indonesia in the first assembly of the Preparatory Committee for the Independence of Indonesia on August 18, 1945 in Jakarta.
