We go to Khanty-Mansiysk the third year and every time we leave there on the „Dike for forest“ one more character of local legends.
The raven symbolizes spring and new life in Khanty’s folklore. Usual for us, New Year isn’t celebrated by the Khanty and Mansi people, and the figure of Grandfather Frost is replaced by crow – the first bird to come from the North and to call for the spring to come and nature to wake up.
We couldn’t stay away from such a meaningful symbol for these people, that’s why we decided to „settle” a raven nearby the bear, who was sent from the clouds to Earth and has been living on Dike for two years, and the crucian, painted last year, as a new neighbor.
