The Royal Pavilion, also known as the Brighton Pavilion, was originally a late 18th-century farmhouse. It was transformed into a residence for the Prince of Wales (later George IV) between 1787 and 1823. It was during the final phase of development that architect John Nash John Nash that the Pavilion assumed its current appearance with minarets and onion domes.
