In 2015 a devastating earthquake hit the Katmandu Valley in Nepal. The Kathmandu Valley is home to monuments that have allowed the members of a deep-rooted culture to maintain their beliefs, traditions and rituals in places they created for many centuries. Seven monument zones located in the Kathmandu Valley were effected and severely damaged.
