National Museum of Archaeology, Malta
Valletta, Malta

The artifact depicts a clay model of a woman with abnormally fat forearms, hips and legs lying on her side on a bed with one hand underneath her head in what seems to be a sleeping position. She is naked to the waist, but clothed with a skirt from the waist downwards, reaching half-way down the calves. This skirt is decorated with incised lines and the lower part is represented as a sort of fringe. The wooden framework of the bed and the rush mattress are well -marked. The fabric consists of a brown clay, polished self-slip, with traces of red ochre. The feet are broken off.
