Humoresque. The piece was written on the occasion of an award ceremony, when Różewicz received a diploma and the medal of merit for Karpacz. The author read it out at a ceremonial session of the Town Council on 5 September 1997. In addition to the legend of Liczyrzepa [Rübezahl], it was inspired by an exhibit from the Museum of Sports and Tourism – a calf with two heads. The piece appeared in print in “Różewicz in Karkonosze” photo album (2011). Humoresques and satirical pieces were the second, important though lesser-known strand of the poet’s work, continued since the war years. The manuscript belongs to Tadeusz Różewicz’s collection.
