The Straw Hut Being Burned

Holi, the ancient Indian Festival of Colours is celebrated across the country in a variety of ways. The Spring festival of Yaoshang in Manipur begins after sunset in villages with the Yaoshang Mei thaba. The symbolic straw hut is burned to mark the start of the five day festival.
