The structure of the tar

The sound of the tar is undoubtedly influenced by the quality of the mulberry and walnut trees from which it is made. Previously, the voice of a five-string tar with two white, two yellow and one bass string, was weak, with inferior technical capacity. Its hollow body in the form of a figure eight was deep and large; because it was heavy the tar was played on the knee.
