It is difficult to interpret the context of this work as the uneasy and strange colors hinders the viewer from viewing the canvas properly. The phrase 'The Virtue of Behavior: 45kg' in the center is taken from the artist's old notes of which the references he can't remember. Created from this personal experience of amnesia, the artist articulates that it is useless for viewers to comprehend the work as the producer himself cannot remember the context. By deliberately giving up the co-optive mechanism that a general artwork holds, this work attempts to go counter to the technique, content, and authority of art. This is to preclude the series of communication-oriented creative practices based on the belief that art can get through to people, or viewer’s complacent expectation that he could understand the essence of an artwork.
