Prints were typically collected and kept in portfolios, but around 1891 some artists began to produce large color lithographs to be framed and hung indoors. Beginning in 1896, Henri Rivière designed 12 compositions titled <em>Aspects of Nature</em>, meant to be hung in vestibules, dining rooms, children’s bedrooms, or in schools to enliven classrooms and cultivate the students’ love for nature.
