These students from Astronaut High and Titusville High Schools, in Brevard County, Florida, known as the CombBat Team, make adjustments on their robot entered in the 1999 Southeastern Regional robotic competition at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex March 4-6. Thirty schools from around the country have converged at KSC for the event that pits gladiator robots against each other in an athletic-style competition. KSC is hosting the event being sponsored by the nonprofit organization For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology, known as FIRST.
