They Come to Us without a Word II

In conjunction with her U.S. Pavilion exhibition, the MIT List Visual Arts Center in collaboration with Teatro Fondamenta Nuove and IUAV presented They Come to Us with a Word II, a performance by Joan Jonas. This new performance conceived and directed by the artist with newly composed music by Jonas's longtime sound collaborator, the American jazz pianist and composer Jason Moran took place on three evenings in July, 2015 at the Teatro Piccolo Arsenale, Venice. Moran played live accompanying Jonas for the performance.
