Women from the Basque province of Vizcaya in the 16th century. During his time in Spain from 1528 to 1529, Christoph Weiditz drew how people on the Iberian Peninsula would dress. It was also at this time that he made the drawings for his costume book (Trachtenbuch). This manuscript is kept in Nuremberg, in the Germanisches National Museum, under catalog number Hs. 22474.
