Tiger beetle move as if they are guiding a person down a path. Despite their beautiful colors, they have a very unruly temperament. Its slender, long legs allow it to run swiftly across the ground, and when danger threatens, it flies away. The larvae burrow vertically into the ground, waiting and snatching insects as they pass by, which is why they are sometimes called "ant ghosts", as their main food source is ants.
