The images are not drawn onto them but instead are weaved in through different colored weft and warp yarns to make them into blanket shape. It can see that through this process, the community comes together to cooperate on certain actions and work together to make these products. The messages embedded in this work is deeply related to the history of Malaysia. Picnic blankets or “floor culture” is something familiar in Korea too, but since the colonialization history, foreign country or culture’s standing culture becomes growingly considered much more modern and advanced. And as this idea surges, people’s lifestyles have changed. So the artist took time to critical mull on the things that direct her lifestyle and point of view through these woven works with the indigenous people of the community.
