Tombstone of an Athenian horseman

The tomb of an Athenian horseman (370s BC), which entered Russian collections in the nineteenth century, gives us an idea of memorial sculpture at that time. The vertical stale usually depicted the scene of the deceased parting with relatives or a friend.
