Pointer called a Yad, “hand” in Hebrew, used to follow the reading of the Torah and, in this manner, not touch the hand directly on the sacred parchment. The Yad is always capped by a small hand with its index finger pointing from it. Lent in memory of Antonietta T. Feffer and Leon Feffer. Silver and ivory yad with stem divided into two segments joined by an ivory salomonic detail. In the first segment there is a silver rod with floral motifs while the end is made from ivory. In the second segment, ivory stem embossed with floral motifs and stone inlays, two silver details and the end in the shape of a closed hand with an extended index finger.
