A toy is writing placed over the work of another graffiti artist. This often indicates some kind of discord, because one toys someone if one doesn’t like them, or to chide them over something. Equally, sometimes – and inside this building, quite often – the uninitiated (kids, beginners, squatters etc) will write or scribble something over a work without realising that this is not the done thing.
