Human Rights developed over time, in response to civic movements, sociopolitical changes, and atrocious acts committed against human beings. The human losses linked to the Holocaust – perpetrated during World War II – boosted the development of Human Rights and the implementation of a new order based on human dignity, which reached an international dimension after the conflict.
