A classic piece created by young Polish artist Szum (Stachu Szumski). The palm tree as well as the mountain views painted above it evoke long travels and distant lands.

Tropical portal in tribute to polish colonisers" is a methaphorical symbol that relates to Polish colonialistic attempts from interwar times. After first world war polish people finally fighted out independence, which helped them to create their first independent harbour and shipyard in Gdynia. So then appeared a dream about colonialism, the first approach was Liberia in African mid-west coast, after few years of invalid symbiosis polish plantators realised that their tropical massive planting skills weren`t good enough, our catastrophic, low fruits invasion was one of a few exotic excursions with colonialistic taste and aspirations.
