Beehive which have been removed by binding round with "Teet" (Cedar) bark. Made by a man called Magege when he was not yet initiated and went to visit his father Mamusi ata "Tuluba". Made from the wood of the 'Kurisiet" tree. The hole is to extract the honey is plugged with "Susuer" grass tied with "Torokiat" vine. This hive is placed somewhere high in the forest trees in hope that the honey badger won't get to them and break them up to get at the honey. When the trees flowers fall, the Ogiek go and climb to the hive using a smudge fire to help them pick out honey. They place the honey in a leather bag. The hive is made with an axe where the trunk or branch is split into two and the inside hollowed out.
