This print is part of Yoshitoshi's famous series "100 Aspects of the Moon" which depicts scenes from traditional Chinese and Japanese history and lore. This print in the Toba-e style (which emphasizes caricatures) relates the story of the two dim witted scoundrels Kofuna no Gengo and Koshi Hanzo as they attempt to steal an iron cauldron under the bright light of a full moon.
