Image headed by the number XI of the manuscript "Memories of the Peruvian Monarchy or Sketch of the history of the Incas", written by Justo Sahuaraura (Cusco, 1775 - Canas, ca. 1853), a descendant of the Inca monarchy and a vocation for libertarian cause. The manuscript contains several independent parts, including a genealogy of the Inca governors, events of the Conquest of Peru, an account of the play of the Ollantay rebellion, among other news up to around Independence.
The character inside the medallion represents Tupac Inca Yupanqui. In the lower part and on the back of the portrait, there is a brief historical description of the Inca and his descendants.
