The Turkana of Northern Kenya say of a bride "It's the things a woman wears that make her beautiful". A Turkana woman wears for life a magnificent multi-layered beaded collar necklace and earrings which she will change to indicate each new status of her life, unmarried, married or with a child. Her beautiful adornment is set off by a small chain fringe which swings from her forehead, complementing her elegant movements.
