TV camera from the Olympic Games in 1936

The camera is based on Philo Farnsworth’s dissector tube, which produces an electronic picture by using a photoelectric charged plate. This is scanned several times per second by an electron beam, creating the illusion of movement. To send the image, the intermediate film system processed the image onto a film strip, which was then scanned again. The first electronic camera suitable for outdoor use was used at the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin.
