Two blacksmiths demonstrating their trade

Wainwrights, coach-builders, wheelwrights, coach-fitters, harness-makers, blacksmiths – many of these trades have disappeared or are practised by just a few specialists. The blacksmiths in front of the museum showed visitors how horses’ hooves have to be properly shod. This is one trade that is still in demand.
