Tunic of SUPPORT cotton brocade (chok); from Ratchaburi province, central Thailand; reproduction skirt.
Chok, a type of brocade, is a locally revived weaving technique that SUPPORT helps to market. Her Majesty wore this elaborate chok tunic to the White House when meeting with then-First Lady Rosalynn Carter. Although Her Majesty was not on an official visit to the United States, She brought SUPPORT products with Her and used the trip as a promotional opportunity.
