This photograph was taken during the Speed Trials held at Dublin’s Phoenix Park on Saturday July 4th 1903. It shows two Wolseley touring cars racing along Chesterfield Avenue, the Park’s main thoroughfare, along which the event was run. The Pheonix Park is located in the north west of Dublin city. At 1,760 acres it is one of the largest municipal parks in the world.
