Tylosaurus is one of the large predatory marine reptiles. Its stomach contents such as fish, shark, baby Mosasaurus, and water birds indicate that Tylosaurus had a variable diet. There are bite marks of a contemporaneous shark, Squalicorax, or teeth of another shark, Skapatorhincus, on the ribs of Tylosaurus specimens. This suggests that Squalicorax who fed on dead Tylosaurus is 2.75m in its body length.
