This is the U.S. Flag that flew from the headquarters for Religious Support Teams located at Ground Zero New York from September to November 2001. Chap. (Maj.) Irvine A. Bryer, 107th Support Group, New York Army National Guard, served as the Task Force Team Leader during this period. Chaplain Bryer and his teams offered religious support and crisis intervention at the site.
This piece of the destroyed Pentagon wall was created when American Airlines Flight 77 crashed into the western façade at 9:37 a.m. It was a portion of a window sill before this fateful day.
Both items are currently on display at the U.S. Army Chaplain Corps Museum in Fort Jackson, South Carolina.
