Doha, Qatar

It is through the discovery of numerous fragments of jars, bowls and dishes at several sites from the west coast to the east coast (region of Dukhan and Ras Abruq, Al-Khor) that the Mesopotamian trade of Ubaid culture is recognized in Qatar.
These two upper parts of a ceramic jar are covered with a geometric brush pattern and black/brown paint characteristic of ceramics produced in the archaeological site of Tell Ubaid - Mesopotamia (city-state 6500-3800 B.C.).
The presence of this perforated inner rim makes it possible to place a lid and to hang: these are jars for transport, storage and conservation. These objects come from the excavations at al-Khor in 1977 and date from the C14 for the more restricted period from 4800-3750 B.C.E.
