  • Details: The third event of WOOL, welcomed the female Catalan artist BTOY, a recognized expert in the use of the stencil technique, that left us on a facade on the historical centre of the city, the reinterpretation of a postcard from the early twentieth century, the image of a shepherd. But the artist BTOY, is best known for the posters that she leaves in an more or less random way on the streets of the cities she visits and Covilhã was no exception (as Lisbon). Currently, a total of six posters can be found throughout the city and it must be noted that, even though two years have gone by, they remain completely intact. This one specifically represents a female figure. The poster was removed pass 2 months, because the house was reconstructed.
  • Biography: BTOY emerged in 2002 as a collective with Ilià Mayer, who later separated from the project. Andrea Michaelsson (Barcelona, 1977), arises from the world of photography and the jump to the graffiti was a challenge to try a new form of expression. Technically she uses the stencil that creates based on photographs. Her works lead us to the past and the women are very present in his work. As sources of inspiration she has the old posters and Andy Warhol, among others.
