PH Gosse is famous for his books on marine biology. ‘Actinologia Britannica A History of the British Sea-Anemones and Corals’ contains many beautiful plates drawn by Gosse. We believe these chalk drawings were used as teaching aids. This one is comprised of 5 anemone illustrations and one stalked jellyfish (bottom right).
