Uomini a cavallo

Besides busts and figures in polychrome terracotta, in the early thirties Fontana worked on plaster tablets, incised and coloured with tempera. The composition - in which one can glimpse the 'skeletal' abstract researches that followed shortly thereafter - are of Cubist ascendancy.
