It is noteworthy the collaboration of the Laboratory of Automation with Ramón y Cajal, who ordered some systems to Torres Quevedo. This microtome was ordered by Juan Costa, Ramón y Cajal's collaborator and it was specially designed to obtain sections of nervous centres.
