On the right side is depicted “The Mountain of Utsu,” known for its narrow road through the ivy. It is told that Toyotomi Hideyoshi cut this precipitous path through the mountain when he attacked Odawara Castle. Lumberjacks, with loads of firewood on their backs, and travelers come and go on the road as it follows alongside the Okabe River.
