Bedroom in the Villa Agnelli, Vogue

A bedroom in the Villa Agnelli, the estate of socialite Marella Agnelli in Piedmont, Italy. A carved wood four-post bed stands against one wall, beneath an expanse of blue and white bunting and drapery held by a carved wood bracket high on the wall. The bedposts are topped with rococo finials, and the footboard is inlaid with a white-on-blue image of a pair of doves. A small painting hangs in the center of the drapery, and identical painted floral decorations occupy frames on either side.
