VANITY DANCE PURSE

During the 1920s European designers looked to the Middle East and Asia for inspiration and new styles. This vanity purse is based on a Japanese inro, a small container for herbs. The Bakelite receptacle was made to resemble lacquer and opens to reveal a round mirror and a pink down powder-puff. The rose basket and bow motif derives from the eighteenth�century styles that influenced Art Deco.
