Veterans' Glass City Skyway Lighting Project

In 2018, The Arts Commission led the process of commissioning 5 local artists (Brien Strancar, Natalie Lanese, Gail Christofferson, Imani Lateef, and Anthony McCarty) to design programmed lighting effects for the new lighting system from lighting designer firm HLB on the Veterans' Glass City Skyway Bridge. The result is a vibrant mixture of slow-moving iridescent light effects that help highlight the distinctive architecture of one of present-day Toledo's most defined landmarks.
