If a series of movements were enough for the passage of a bill, what would a parliament of bodies be like, where sessions are based on choreographies? Osías Yanov -using performance practices conditioned by sculptural elements- explores individuals as generators of change, by means of their physical reverberation.
In VI Sesión en el Parlamento, the artist conceives the body as a reservoir of meanings, and focuses on its ability to communicate these meanings without resorting to words. The project involves and uses the formal strategies of a stereotyped sexuality to later destroy them, based on the premise that these strategies trivialize the body's potential for dissidence and transformation.
Yanov's quest involves the inquiry of the sexuated body and its connection with shape, space and time.
