View from front door, tree & schooner

From Clear Comfort's lawn, Alice Austen witnessed many inspirational historic events, such as the construction of the Statue of Liberty, the last voyage of the Lusitania, and the massive waves of immigrants arriving in New York City at the turn of the twentieth century. This photo of the Narrows was taken around 1900 and feature two sail boats, also called schooners, in New York Harbor.
