Bagetti was an extraordinary painter, cartographer and watercolorist, whose works came back to the spotlight only at the beginning of the 2000’. This beautiful view represents the fortified castle and citadel of Saorge, dominating a stream and a road with marching troops. The fine realisation of the rough rocks of the landscape and the vitality given to the olive trees forest on the slope, are remarkable features of this composition.
