View of the Chinese sitting room

Quirinale Palace

Quirinale Palace
Rome, Italy

In the Chinese drawing room, decorated at the end of the 19th century in oriental style by the Savoy, there are works that refer to the tradition of the "China" cabinets set up during the 18th century in the main Savoy residences in Piedmont. On the wall of the Salottino there is the screen from the second half of the 1700s purchased by Queen Margherita for her bedroom in the Quirinale, which the queen will then take with her, on the death of Umberto I, to Palazzo Margherita in via Veneto. He has been in Castelporziano since 1957.
