This small-sized oil painting, shining with colours spread with brisk and thick brushstrokes, depicts part of a view of the sun-drenched countryside. On the foreground there is a stone balustrade as if it were part of the terrace of a garden overlooking the sea, probably the dove-grey strip set in the background. The little painting on wood was probably dedicated to Ms Herbillon, the companion of the painter Domenico Trentacoste.
