Villarejo de Salvanés

Villarejo de Salvanés offers a unique heritage. Founded in the 13th century by the Military Order of Santiago, this town was chosen as the seat of the Encomienda Mayor de Castilla in the 15th century. In 1974 it was declared a Historic-Artistic Site, where the castle stands out, of which a keep built from an old Muslim watchtower is preserved.
