Gilardi’s ecological vision is extremely rich and articulated: Tappeto-Natura departs from its own experience with the natural elements, giving it form, sharing it, and making it both an individual and collective experience. Based on his own ecological thinking, the artist was certainly moving in the direction of expressing his own love of nature, his own desire to safeguard it.
This artwork depicts a tropical scene, naming the viridea, and is displayed alongside other examples of exotic flora and fauna, placing this work among the carpets inspired by Gilardi's travels.
