A boat collapsed in the Garda; the wind broke the tree and brought the sail to embed itself in an inlet of Toscolano. The force of the waves reduced the sail to pulp but the sun exposure returned to give it consistency. When some locals realized that the material was suitable for writing, they founded the first paper mill.
